I work at a smoothie bar, hate it, what's the best way to quit?

I have been working at a smoothie place since 14th of December. I am 19 years old and a full-time college student so this is not some serious career thing...just extra cash. My boss is overbearing and has serious 'tude. The actual place where I work is dirty. It smells weird and there is one dishrag which is used to clean the entire place. Any leak, any spill-over from a customer's cup, any spot inside the fridge - all cleaned with the same rag. Each day the rag is changed, but they are all nasty old rags. My boss has had me working 40 hour weeks, 8 hour days, and this is CHRISTMAS BREAK. I have yet to see a paycheck. This is a franchise btw. My boss won't stop calling my cell phone to get me to work. If I am lucky, I get one day off a week, otherwise I am working a 5, 6, or 8 hour shift in this hellhole. He also pays $5.75/hour, very low wage for my state. How do I quit this job with dignity and get my paycheck from this boss-from-hell? I hate confrontation...

Greetings, I have been using Windows XP x64 since it's release but due to a hardware issue with my motherboard (it's built in NIC died) I am forced to revert to Windows XP x86. Since I built my computer for x64 it has eight gigabytes of DDR 800 RAM. Windows XP x86 can only use three gigabytes so the other five are in limbo. What I wonder is if there is a utility that can run before Windows loads that could reserve this five gigabytes as a RAM disk which XP could then use? (Yes, I could buy another motherboard and I could even RMA this one but I decided to not RMA because this IS an RAM replacement - the fourth- and I decided to wait to buy another so I can get the AM2/AM2+ so I have upgrade options later.) We were served a written notice by our landlord to vacate the property on 3-8-2010. No reason or complaint was made by the owner or in the notice. Im 37 weeks pregnant, My doctor sent me for an ultra sound because my belly is measuring 40 weeks. They have been telling me that the baby is head down for the past month. Needless to say i went to have the ultra sound yesterday and the first thing they said is ur baby's head is under ur right rib and is measuring 39 weeks and 4 days. The lady giving the ultra sound said it is most likely that he wont turn on his own because of his size and having no room to really turn. When she's mad she slams doors, cabinets etc. She has a tendency to make you feel bad because your not doing things her way, or the right way. She gets angry VERY fast. She yells ALL the time. I pay rent in the house my Dad left me and I still get yelled at for the way I keep my room or bathroom. I find myself always trying to please her and its a never ending battle because you can't please her. She has a new bf of 3-4 months and is sweet as pie to him. Recently, I asked a question regarding aluminum baseball bats. At first, I liked the idea for Major League Baseball, but now I understand why nobody in MLB uses them. They make the ball go twice as fast, and that can be dangerous. I know I wouldn't want someone like Albert Pujols or Paul Konerko to send a line drive towards me with an aluminum bat. The main reason I was first sold on that concept is because aluminum bats don't break, and I'm all for saving the environment. When I went to Academy today, I noticed there were bamboo baseball bats. This made me put my thinking cap on. What if they did away with maple, oak, and ash bats whereby replacing them with bamboo? The reason I'm down with bamboo is because it's a very strong wood. Not only that, but it's light and durable. It's less likely to snap due to it's flexibility. Therefore, I'm now wondering if you think MLB should p a new policy with nothing but bamboo bats to decrease the amount of broken or corked bats. They can even ensure they all have that concave aperture at the end in lieu of that concave dome to decrease the likelihood of them being corked? What is your opinion towards bamboo baseball bats? Anyone can go to college; Vocational-Technical cles are job training not really college bound cles, but that doesn't mean you can't ever go to college. You might need to go to a Community college for a couple of years and then transfer to a big University though. if you don't want to do that and you want to get into a major league school, I would stay with the top academic cles. take your SATs and ACTs and make good grades, do some community service hours, and you should be set.

In school I have a group of really good friends, we aren't nerd, and we aren't popular. We're just normal. The thing is, I used to be really really outgoing and popular in elementary school, but once i went to middle school all my confidence just shrivled away and i became very very very shy. Second pregnancy at 5 weeks it was a very very faint line (kinda thought i was looking too hard at the test lol) and in this third pregnancy I took a test and it was a very clear positive and they are telling me I was 2 weeks then!! Which is a huge shock to me since the others took so long to show up. I still think they have my due date wrong cause that seems so early to show up so clear on a test but I guess I will find out for sure if they are right next week when I have my 20 week ultrasound : ) AND good luck hope yal get your baby, me and my husband were the same way when we would take test and they said ; )

Breech baby.. delivery... trying to turn the baby..?

my first was a breech baby. did csection at 39 weeks. turning the baby hurts like hell and there is no way to know if the baby will stay head down. my daughter came out with legs stuck open so there was no way she was going to turn anyway. just have the csection, its not that bad. recovery takes a little longer but you see your baby quick and dont feel anything during delivery.

Relationship issues?

Me and my girlfriend have been together for a few months, and even though we were careful she got pregnant, I was ecstatic and she was devastated because she already has a son and well we really aren't ready we both work but she has a hard time of it being on her own (we don't live together) and so she said she didn't want to keep it. I supported her in her decision because I feel like if it's her body I can't really stop her but I was really angry, so I went with her and all was said and done. Afterwards she stopped by unexpectedly one night and I had someone else in bed I don't know why I did it I think mostly because I was so mad at her, so we fought and she left , after she called and we talked and I told her how I felt about her getting rid of our child, now I'm hurt she doesn't trust me anymore I feel like everything is falling apart but I do love her what should I do? call it quits or try to work through it?

Do SSRI antidepressants reduce the effectiveness of Tamoxifen? Is there an alternative to an SSRI?

I finished chemotherapy on October 28 and have started on Tamoxifen and Zoladex. I am not bothered too much by the menopausal symptoms except I am experiencing depression and anxiety. I had severe depression about 10 years ago which was effectively treated with councelling, Zoloft and Effexor. I have not taken antidepressants for 6+ years and until now have not relapsed. My doctor wants me to start on an SSRI but I have read this will reduce the effectiveness of the Tamoxifen. Should I be concerned? Is there an alternative to an SSRI (such as an older antidepressant) which will not interfere with Tamoxifen, Zoladex or Zometa? (St John's Wort, it works in the same way and had no thereputic benefit for me). Is the depression just a result of adjusting to menopause and will it go away by itself? It is quite debilitating and I am annoyed that it has struck me now, just as I am feeling physically better and my life was starting to get back to normal. Diet, councelling and exercise are not helping me. If this continues then I will need to start antidepressant medication, I am worried I will suffer depression to the same extent as when I was younger.

I had to format my computer a few weeks ago, so all my music is on my ipod. I tried using ephpod before the ipod broke, but my ipod is my K drive and ephpod only goes up to an H drive. i noticed the ipod was broken when on was on a mountain so it might have been from the cold, but i pressed next on a playlist and the ipod just kept skipping through all the songs like the files weren't there. I had someone look at it when that happened and they said there was a clicking noise which meant basically the hard drive was getting destroyed. I switched it to disk mode so the clicking would stop, so I hoping I can still salvage some of the music. My warranty is up cause this is the second ipod apple gave me. Europe or Round the World?

I'm going to go away for about 2 months travelling alone on a gap year. I live in the UK. I can either choose to do Dubai, Singapore, Oz (Sydney, travel to Melbourne), NZ, (Christchurch and Auckland) and LA or travel round Europe with Interrail. Europe will be about �1000 cheaper (flights come to around �1300 for RTW). Europe would include Spain (Barcelona, Madrid), France, Sweden (Stockholm), Croatia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Greece. I have the money for both but don't want to throw it away. Backpacking alone is common but sounds like it could be dodgy so that may be a plus for doing the cheaper option.

My grandmother was living at an istant living facility. She had walked out an emergency exit with summer clothes on. The exit alarm was deactivated resulting to her being locked out side in the cold weather. My grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia 3years ago. She walked a quarter of a mile from her house and died by minor injuries and hypothermia. The temperature was around 23 degrees that morning. A similar situation had happen before during the summer and the issue regarding the emergency exit alarm was addressed but never attended to. Im So Confused About Religion!?

Ok, I am Jewish currently since i was born jewish and I'm a teen. My best friend is christian and one night we were talking about our different beliefs. I was barmitzvah'd, but still don't know a lot about jewish or christian religion. My friend said that if you don't believe in jesus you will go to hell. Well, obviously i don't so I'm scared if the jewish religion is wrong because hell sounds horrible. Now, I understand christians and jews are almost exactly alike. We both believe in THE SAME GOD. The only difference we have is we believe the old ways, and also we believe the messiah is yet to come. In fact Christians were once jews before jesus. I was thinking about the messiah and it hit me. The main connection with the messiah is to get a closer connection to god. If jews have a direct strong relation with the same god as christians, and christians have a relation through jesus, this means we won't go to hell because of our relationship with god in all. Does it all come down to that? Also I understand we have free will, but why wouldn't god try to help us in tough decisions. Like, if there is an anti messiah, he should tip us in and put instinct in our brains. basically perform miracles all the time, and lead us all to heaven. Plus, Hell Sounds like a horrible place, so why would god allow there to be a place as such? Doesn't he love his creations? It's like (be a bigger man) and if someone sins still bring them to salvation and teach them the right way. Why would angels bring you to that horrible (evil) place. God allows and (correct me if I'm wrong) creates hell for sinners, but it seems so evil. I also understand Jews don't believe in hell. Does that mean we believe in some other bad place or all people go to heaven. Another question I have is about the end of the world. In christian religion it says that seven years before the end they will go to heaven. Then the "anti-messiah" will come (which would be jews first messiah possibly) and bring 3 and a half years of good and bad. First of all, will it hurt when the world ends. Will i feel pain of lava pouring on me or will god make it painless. Also, within the seven years if we decide to follow christ, is it too late to go to heaven within the seven years? If this whole anti-messiah thing is true, god should do that to build his people, and make a big peaceful heaven for all its creation, cuz if christians start dissapearing into the sky, we will probably convert to cristianity. Next I still don''t understand why Jews didn't believe Jesus was the messiah, or why christians believe he was the messiah. I guess the Jews believe that he didn't complete the specific tasks in the torah, but if jesus created miracles and blackness and earthquakes when he died, why wouldn''t we believe him? Also, how can something as big as darkness and earthquakes be mistaken. If jews don't believe of the darkness when he died and whatnot, then thats a hard thing to mistake or not write down. This goes the same for christians. how could they mistaken nothing for darkness etc. Someone's got to be bluffing or misleading history. So I ask you to please respond nicely on both points of view and not be racist or prejudice about Jews or Christians, because in essence Jews, Christians are practically the same and believe in the same god.

How long can I take butlabital for?

I'm going see a neurologist this Wednesday for my headaches, but they're so bad. I've been taking Fioricet for these headaches that NEVER go away for the last 4 days (the pain pills, not the headache. I've had the headache since early January.) I take at most 3 doses a day, no more. I find I'm forgetful, lose track of what I'm saying... and just have memory problems, but it relieves the pain and pressure! How much longer can I continue taking this, or should I just stop and live in hell? Is it safe to keep taking it? Can someone answer me, please? I'm also on Topamax. My pharmacist said it was ok to take both. It's not helping! I think it only helps for migraines. I'm pretty sure what I have is no migraine.

Bad cylinder timing in brand new taurus 627. Options?

Hopefully this is my last question about my new 627. Thanks to all who have helped so far. I bought it online, but a local gunshop noted that the cylinder could rotate backwards a few time before catching, and he showed me while dry firing how though the trigger would pull, sometimes the cylinder would not rotate in DA mode. It seems to be the same two positions in the cylinder that have this rotation problem. Like an idiot, I fired a couple rounds through it anyway, and the second round was way off and cut a jagged hole trough the paper. That round nicked the breech and sent a crescent sliver of the metal jacket out onto the table. I know Taurus has a great warranty, but now I am wondering if the gun shop damaged the cylinder (the little locking grooves in the rear of the cylinder appear nicked) and I fear taurus may consider it abuse even though it was having rotation problems out of the box. Any thoughts on my options and worse case scenario what I may have to pay out of pocket?

Apple cider vinegar......?

I am thinking about drinkIng a small/normal amount of apple cider vinegar 2 or 3 times a day for various reasons. I also take 100mg Zoloft each night at bedtime. So, I was wondering since vinegar (over time) "cleanses toxins", will it deplete my regular daily medication that I take? Will it cause the zoloft to not work as well? Back when I was around 18 I actually took a cop test and ped it. Then moved to another state and wanted to be a police officer and ped that test too. I don't think the test is racially bias at all as I've ped it twice. I decided not to be a police officer and instead finish getting my degree. But I can honestly say that most of the questions on the test don't have anything to do with white or black culture or anything like that. Most of the questions are logic questions....what would you do in this scenario type thing, then a part of the test tests memory. I personally thought the test was easy. I honestly think it shouldn't be lowered. Its a pretty standard test, and most of the time you need 3 text books that will cover all the information. My dog went from angel to complete terror?

We have a 9 month old Pyrs. He went from being the perfect puppy, to an absolute nightmare. He now messes in the house when he wants, he eats and has destroyed our carpet, he jumps all over everyone, he barks non-stop in his crate at night, he terrorizes our cat and other dog, and is becoming very aggressive with food. He used to be the perfect puppy and we selected this breed because of their gentle nature. But this puppy is anything but gentle. We were told the breed doesn't like to participate in playing games, but all he wants to do is play. He knocks our 3 year old over, won't leave our other dog alone which sparks fights, tries constantly to annoy the cat by barking at or jumping on her. And he has started to bark CONSTANTLY when we crate him at night. We can't let him run loose because he's decided to make our home his toilet, and has already destroyed our new carpet by eating it. Just run a chkdsk /r and it should repair any broken sections to do this first turn off your computer then start it up in safe mode with command prompt (press F8 when windows is starting up) then type chkdsk /r into the command line and wait while it repairs the corrupt sections. Chest Wall soft tissue tumors?

Sum up- 6 hard lumps on chest wall. Unmovable growing lumps that are becoming tender. I have a chronic cough, shortness of breath and fatigue.Cancer is rampant on both sides of my family. Went to doctor. White blood cell count is fine. Doctor said it was probably Soft tissue tumors (Lipomas) and are probably benign but is sending me to a disease specialist/general surgeon. I looked up lipomas and it said lipomas are moveable and have a softer feel than bone hard. Plus I read lipomas in the Chest Wall are rare and occur more frequently in people ages 40+. And he said that these soft tissue tumors are always benign but thats not what ive read. But my white blood cell count is fine...so isnt it true that if that is ok then i must definitely not have cancer?? But I am worried what this disease doctor is going to tell me. I might have to have surgery because they are growing and so close to my heart. Im so confused and kinda scared. I wish i had the 100% answers right now..ones that make sense, ones with symptoms i fit. I go on tuesday so i guess im alittle hyperanxious. Did anyone go through this? Any ideas? Ok so my father asked me Oct 27th if I could move in dec 1 to his duplex. I'm supposed to be paying $690/mth for a 2 bedroom. On Nov 3rd I was notified by my current landlords I have to stay until Jan 1st to give adequate notice. My dad said he needed to clean because the other tenants that were in there had a cat so I wouldn't move in right on the first anyhow. I spoke to my father and he said he wanted me to atleast cover the hydro for the month im not there. I agreed, but now he's asking me to pay for the month of dec and the hydro. That means I have to pay for two apartments for the same month! I'm on a tight budget right now and I can't afford it at all. Question about purchasing a handgun?

Remington does not make a .44 presently but if you want a 9mm that would be good. Ammunition is the cheapest for a new centerfire handgun and you can learn a lot shooting it. I would suggest going to a gun range and handling at least a couple models and brands of guns that are chambered in 9mm. A lot of people turn out not liking glocks because of the agressive grip angle while some love them. Personally I like them but I don't like the grip angle. I like the glock 19, Springfield XD9 Service, and Smith&Wesson M&P 9mm about all equal. I would reccomend looking at all 3 before deciding on what you want to buy.

I am a sprinter and I keep getting injured but in different areas of my legs ( hamstring, inner thigh, and groin ) Is there anything I can do to prevent further injury from occurring and could there be a reason to why this is happening?

I took the car in to see why my engine was like going "chika-chika-chika-chika" and at the same time it was like 'vrroooom", the engine sounded like really bad. I brought it in and the guy hooked it up to this scanner thing and told me there was carbon buildup because the guy who owned my car before must of used the cheaper gas thats not recomended by the manufacturer. But after they fixed that, the engine light went on and then started blinking,. that was like 5 days ago, and i thnk i will go back and tell them, but why is it doing that? the engine is actually still a little loud after he fixed it but its better now. White bumps in mouth?

had two white bumps in my mouth... they didnt hurt they were very small and only around for like 3 days... then i got a bump on the floor of my mouth on the outside of my gums and it was white circle shaped n was painful but it only lasted like 2 days then left but is stilla little red. I also notice a nother white spot but it also isnt painful. Im wondering is it my tooth brush or infection or canker sores? Like a week before i had two little bumps filled with fluid and i burst them ive had these since i was little .. I have even been tested for and I am clean (just because of an annual check up) so what culd it be?
