I cant tell if this is a crush or not on this teacher?

K so this teacher is in his early 30s if i had to guess, hes not really attractive, and Whenever i see him suddenly or far away i get really nervous, and my heart beat picks up and i get a hot sweat but this doesnt happen everytime i see him. My dads an alcoholic and pays no attention to me and yells at me all the time so maybe its gotta do with that, basically any guy i see who looks fatherly or caring ill think of their actions being fatherly when im around them. Im not tbe type to date older men thats gross and i steer away from any unclean tboughts but i usually just have thts of a father holding their child, but will this feeling go away overtime if i dont see him? What would you call this situation? What can i do? Is it normal, im 18 if that helps! :)
