How much tv is too much for a young toddler?

how much tv do you think is too much my daughter loves elmo and she knows how to put the dvd's in and start them... so she trys to watch them a lot... i am trying not to let her watch too much, what does ever one think is a healthy amount of tv? please no rude answers they are just a waist of time and energy....
