Does it count against your total Gold Bolt score once you spend Gold Bolts?

I'm playing my Ratchet and Clank 1 and i almost have 30 G.B's i think I have found 26 but i spent 4 to buy the Gold Blaster and now it says 22 G.B.s remain; does this count against my total Gold Bolt score overall? Thanks to all who answer :)
