How long can I take butlabital for?

I'm going see a neurologist this Wednesday for my headaches, but they're so bad. I've been taking Fioricet for these headaches that NEVER go away for the last 4 days (the pain pills, not the headache. I've had the headache since early January.) I take at most 3 doses a day, no more. I find I'm forgetful, lose track of what I'm saying... and just have memory problems, but it relieves the pain and pressure! How much longer can I continue taking this, or should I just stop and live in hell? Is it safe to keep taking it? Can someone answer me, please? I'm also on Topamax. My pharmacist said it was ok to take both. It's not helping! I think it only helps for migraines. I'm pretty sure what I have is no migraine.
