Anyone here emigrated and regret the fact that their kids dont get to see their family?

I am emigrating to Canada from the UK with my soon to be hubby as hes getting a job transfer and i am excited but i am worried i will regret the fact that our kids (when they are born) will miss out on not knowing their grandparents and uncles and aunts and cousins...has anyone else regretted this? i am very family orientated but my fiance is not so he doesn't understand where i am coming from.
